| Activities at Arkansas Geological Survey | |
| Geological assessment and analysis of all fossil fuel related resources within the state. Determine specific structural and stratigraphic controls associated with conventional and unconventional oil and gas resources, coalbed natural gas, and coal. Model and characterize fossil fuel resources and provide this information to state and federal agencies, private industry, and citizens. Conduct fossil fuel research on topics that stimulate industry to search and develop additional fossil fuel resources within Arkansas. Present geotechnical data and geologic information to a variety of audiences including the oil and gas industry, the coal industry, state legislators and regulators, and the general public. Provide geologic supervision and oversight to other geologists that are on staff at the Arkansas Geological Survey. | |
