General Description This publication contains the first compilation of the minerals of Arkansas since the listing in Comstock's Annual Report of 1888.  It is arranged alphabetically and includes:

  • Discussion of how to use the information and an explanation of the Mineral List
  • Glossary of mineral-related terms
  • An extensive reference list
  • Ten plates of color pictures of Arkansas minerals
  • Author's comments about the 1st revision
It is notable that in this newly revised publication 72 new mineral entries bring the total list of minerals reported from Arkansas from 342, only 15 of which are problematic. This publication has been reformatted to a more standard 8 1/2 x 11 inch size, reproducible on standard paper.
